Benin's Law No. 2025-19 of July 22, 2025 replaces the 1901 French colonial law governing associations. Existing associations had nine months (until April 2026) to update their statutes or face automatic dissolution. New obligations include annual activity and financial reports, rules on economic activities, and mandatory authorization for foreign NGOs.
